An articulation agreement between St. Bonaventure University and Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania establishes a new pathway for Commonwealth students to enter 天涯社区官网鈥檚 Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) program.
Undergraduate Health Science or Exercise Science majors at Commonwealth University will be given preferential consideration for admission to St. Bonaventure鈥檚 MSOT program. Commonwealth University has three campuses in the Pennsylvania boroughs of Bloomsburg, Lock Haven, and Mansfield.
鈥淭he OT Department is excited to announce this articulation agreement with Commonwealth University in Pennsylvania,鈥 said Dr. Suzanne Marasco, chair of the department. 鈥淲e have been collaborating with the Commonwealth campuses over the past few years to spread the word about occupational therapy to students considering a career in health care, and we are thrilled to now have a formalized, streamlined process to bring those students to our MSOT program.鈥
St. Bonaventure will annually guarantee admission to at least five students from Commonwealth University who meet the admission criteria. Commonwealth students should apply to the MSOT program at 天涯社区官网 by Dec. 1 the year before they expect to begin the master鈥檚 program. Occupational Therapy cohorts begin each August, and students are accepted on a rolling basis.
Early Assurance Pathways offer two tracks for the MSOT program: an accelerated 3+2 pathway and a traditional 4+2 pathway.
St. Bonaventure鈥檚 22-month Occupational Therapy program combines rigorous academic work, hands-on fieldwork, and state-of-the art facilities in the Dennis R. DePerro School of Health Professions. It is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
