The Jandoli School of Communication at St. Bonaventure University will welcome students from 17 high schools to its annual Communications Day (CommDay) on Friday, Oct. 18.
CommDay creates the opportunity for high school students to come to campus and learn about the aspects of the broad field of communications. These students can explore what it鈥檚 like to be a broadcaster or reporter, the digital side of communications,
the world of public relations and more.
The event will feature 10 interactive workshops, a keynote address by ESPN鈥檚 Sr. NBA insider and 1991 St. Bonaventure graduate Adrian Wojnarowski, and an optional CommPetition in which school teams will create a compelling video, series of photos
or feature/news articles addressing the CommDay 2019 topic, 鈥淐reating a United State of Media: Using Media to Unite in Divided Times.鈥
The interactive workshops will touch on various topics in the communications field and are a great way to show and teach students about the vast career choices. Jandoli School faculty will be joined by several St. Bonaventure alumni to offer the following
workshops:
- 鈥淭he Magic of Marketing Communications鈥 by Mike Jones-Kelly
- 鈥淭ake The Time to Take the Walk: The Best Advice on Writing鈥 by Dr. Chris Mackowski
