St. Bonaventure University offers merit-based scholarships to transfer students based on their cumulative college GPA. Students who do not meet the listed GPA criteria will be reviewed individually for other grants and institutional aid.
Transfer Merit Scholarships
Friar Scholarship
Transfer students with a cumulative college GPA of 3.5 or higher may qualify for the Friar Scholarship. The annual award is $24,000 for resident students and $18,000 for commuter students.
Provost Scholarship
Transfer students with a cumulative college GPA between 3.0 and 3.49 may qualify for the Provost Scholarship. The annual award is $22,000 for resident students and $16,500 for commuter students.
Achievement Scholarship
Transfer students with a cumulative college GPA between 2.25 and 2.99 may qualify for the Achievement Scholarship. The annual award is $19,000 for resident students and $14,250 for commuter students.
Phi Theta Kappa / Honor Scholarship
Students who have demonstrated academic excellence through membership in Phi Theta Kappa or another recognized academic honor society may qualify for an additional $500 scholarship.
Students must provide proof of membership to receive the award. This scholarship is renewable annually and may be awarded in addition to a transfer merit scholarship.
Students choosing to live off campus will have their merit scholarship reduced by 25%.
Transfer scholarships are applied toward tuition and fees.
Transfer scholarships require full-time attendance.
Generally, a student cannot receive a transfer scholarship from more than one category, with the exception of the Phi Theta Kappa / Honor Scholarship.
