Our book club originally scheduled for August has been postponed to September because the books did not come in. We still plan to have the book club though, starting the week of September 8!

The book is The Opposite of Cheating: Teaching for Integrity in the Age of AI, by Tricia Bertram Gallant and David A. Rettinger. 

If you expressed an interest in August, you're already part of the group! If you want to join and didn't sign up in August, just visit  during the week of September 8 to join in the discussion (discussion questions will be posted on Sunday night of each week). You are also welcome to add any other thoughts/ideas you have outside of the discussion questions.

This is a no-pressure book club, where you can participate at your convenience. We hope to have a core group of people who will share their thoughts, allowing for a healthy exchange of ideas. The group will meet asynchronously online every other week, with the possibility of in-person/Zoom meetings if members desire. .

Where can you obtain the book?

FacStaff & OTHER LISTS

• Join the FacStaff list if you're not already on it by sending a request to Ann Tenglund. The FacStaff list is a general list, open only to faculty and staff, where occasional discussions take place. It is most often utilized for announcements that expand what is on the daily Notice Board.
• The Notice Board is sent to all faculty, staff, and students every weekday. You do not need to subscribe--it is automatically sent once your account becomes active.
• New full-time faculty will be automatically added to the Faculty and divisional listservs, and new adjunct faculty will automatically be added to their divisional listserv.
  • New full-time faculty are also automatically added to the FacStaff list, at the request of the Faculty Senate. If you have too much email coming in, you can set the FacStaff list so it does not send you every email--you can also see the content by visiting the FacStaff group in Outlook.

Monday Morning Mentor
Monday Morning Mentor provides a 20-minute video presentation weekly during fall and spring semesters, with access to a transcript, handouts, and other materials. You might want to review materials from a popular spring session: .

Check out the free live and on-demand webinars from the Online Learning Consortium (subscription provided by Dr. Mike Hoffman. Associate Provost/Graduate Dean/CIO). There are lot of useful topics for everyone, not just those who teach exclusively online.
