Anne Lee, a lecturer in the Jandoli School of Communication, presented her research on Marilyn Monroe at the Mid-Atlantic Popular & American Culture Association conference in Atlantic City on Nov. 7.
Lee is working on a project focusing on the fact that, contrary to Monroe鈥檚 film and public image as a dumb blonde, she was an astute businesswoman who broke glass ceilings that paved the way for other women.
The presentation was part of the "Rethinking Women on Screen" panel in the Women鈥檚 and Feminist Studies section of the conference.
