Chimbel is panelist at Broadcast Education Assoc. conference
Aaron Chimbel, dean of the Jandoli School of Communication, was a panelist for 鈥淪trategies for Mentorship of Colleagues and Managing Burnout in Higher Education,鈥 a Curriculum, Assessment & Administration session at the Broadcast Education Association (BEA) On-Location conference held Oct. 6 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Walker presents and earns Best Poster award at conference
Dr. Tara Walker, assistant professor of Communication, presented her paper titled "Complicated girls suck: A feminist autoethnography of media and outlaw emotions at the turn of the 21st century," at the national Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) Conference, held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in August.
Mackowski presents Civil War programs over the summer
Dr. Chris Mackowski, professor of Journalism and Mass Communication, gave a Civil War tour of New Orleans鈥檚 French Quarter in July as part of the American Battlefield Trust鈥檚 annual Teacher Institute for K-12 teachers.
Matthews earns Best Paper honor at annual ICA conference
Dr. Tammy Rae Matthews, assistant professor of Sports Journalism and Digital Journalism, earned the prestigious 2024 African Journalism Studies (AJS) Best Paper Award at the 74th Annual International Communication Association (ICA) Conference, held June 20-24 on Australia鈥檚 Gold Coast.
