    Apr 22, 2026 | Dr. Ebony White, associate professor of Counselor Education, published a book chapter in the newly released textbook “Counseling Black Men and Boys with Excellence: Exploring Career, Clinical, and School Contexts” from Emerald Publishing.

    Mar 18, 2026 | Heather Harris, associate professor of Communication, has had her research accepted for presentation at the VISCOMM40 International Visual Communication Conference, to be held in June 2026 in Yachats, Oregon.

    Feb 24, 2026 | Dr. Scott Medler, professor of Physician Assistant Studies, published a paper in the International Journal of Strength and Conditioning in January.

    Feb 10, 2026 | An article published in the AASA Journal of Scholarship & Practice titled “Are We Burned Out? A Multi-Year Statewide Study of P–12 Superintendents” was co-authored by Dr. Nicole V. Schilling, professor of Educational Leadership, and colleagues.

    Feb 10, 2026 | Heather Lynn Harris’s children’s picture book manuscript, which has the working title “Junkyard Jewel,” has been accepted for publication by By Chance Books, an independent publisher based in Fort Collins, Colorado.

    Feb 10, 2026 | Dr. Doyle Pruitt, associate professor and Master of Social Work program director, published an empirical manuscript titled “Innocence betrayed: The impact of grooming and family betrayal on trauma symptoms in adult survivors of child sexual abuse” in the journal Child Abuse & Neglect with colleagues from PennWest University and Penn State University.

    Feb 10, 2026 | The third edition of Dr. Chad Luke’s internationally-recognized text “Neuroscience for Counselors and Therapists: A Culturally Responsive Approach to Integrating Therapy and the Science of the Brain” has been published by Cognella Academic Press.

    Feb 10, 2026 | Dr. Margaret Hindman, assistant professor of Counselor Education, presented a peer-reviewed presentation titled “Ethical Considerations for Using AI with Play Therapy” at the Association for Creativity in Counseling’s (ACC) 2025 Annual Conference.
