Local high school students can accelerate their academic journey through St. Bonaventure University’s Early College Access programs, which allow them to earn affordable college credits while gaining real-world academic experience.

The fall of Vicksburg, Mississippi, on July 4, 1863, proved a crucial turning point of the Civil War, although it took Union forces nearly seven months to capture the city. Dr. Chris Mackowski, professor of Communication, chronicles that effort in a pair of new books.

Dr. Pauline W. Hoffmann, associate professor in the Jandoli School, completed the Richard P. Nathan Public Policy Fellowship with the Rockefeller Institute of Government by developing a public policy report and blog post titled "Mis/Disinformation and Lead Poisoning."

Jandoli School faculty members Anne and Richard Lee, lecturer and professor, respectively, presented at the Joint Journalism and Communication History Conference at the University of Maryland's Philip Merrill College of Journalism on March 28.

Dr. Brian Moritz, director of online master's programs in Digital Journalism and Sports Journalism, presented at the International Association for Communication and Sport's 2025 Summit on Communication in Sport, held in Chicago on March 15.

More than 250 students and teachers from 15 area high schools attended the Jandoli School of Communication’s 2025 Communications Day at St. Bonaventure University Friday, April 4.

Claire Fisher, a St. Bonaventure University senior majoring in Communication, Social Justice and Advocacy, will receive the San Damiano Servant Leadership Award from the Franciscan Mission Service (FMS).

Chris LaPlaca, who spent more years than anyone behind the scenes at ESPN, will talk about the network’s rise from “scrappy startup to global icon” at 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, at St. Bonaventure University’s Doyle Conference Center.
